Take small naps
Stress can leave the body and mind exhausted and with no energy. Therefore, it becomes difficult for us to carry out our day to day work due to that.

Cut down your alcohol intake
You might feel that a glass of wine or whiskey can help to de-stress you and relax your mind. Alcohol does have sedative properties and might offer you relaxation for some time. But once the effect of alcohol is gone, the stress you have been trying to avoid comes back with full force.
It increases the anxiety (get the rid of anxiety) in you, which can bother you for a long time. Hence, if you are experiencing stress, then avoiding alcohol would be the best option to prevent the effect of stress.
Drink sufficient water
Drinking inadequate water or dehydration can negatively impact your mood and way of thinking. Researchers say that you must have at least 8-9 glasses of water in a day to keep yourself hydrated.
Green tea can also be helpful in hydrating yourself, and it has added antioxidants that strengthen your immune power as well.
Wash or dip your face in cold water
When you are facing too much of stress, then you can try soaking your face in cold water or washing it. Cold water helps in activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which shall help in slowing down your heartbeat level.
Hence, you will breathe controllably, and the body will use less energy. You can also use a cold pack which can provide you similar effect like the cold water.
