FOMO is a mental health issue that people knowingly or unknowingly are suffering from. People with this problem get nervous or have an uneasy feeling if they are not able to access or use social media handles for a long time.

People also lose their sleep over the FOMO issue as they are always on alert about new notifications and messages that come on these platforms. The result is that people experience lack of sleep, which can have a negative effect on their health.

At times, the news and updates are undesirable for the mind, which can make you anxious, stressed, and depressed. Hence, the uncontrollable consumption of social media updates can trigger mental issues that can become difficult to manage.

Apart from that, social media has become the hub of negative news, fake information, and cyberbullying, which can be another problem for the mental sanity of people.
